JASON FIELD (GUITAR)
Jason Field is a classically trained, award winning, multi-genre guitarist who began playing at age 6, gigging at age 13, and teaching at age 14. Presently a Montreal-based session musician, he has played across the continent in a diverse array of musical contexts, including several major musical theatre productions. In 2015, Jason was the guitarist for 8 time Academy Award winner Alan Menken on his world premiere of The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz: The Musical (Segal Centre for the Performing Arts), as well as the original cast recording. Additional select credits include Jonathan Monro’s world premier of The Hockey Sweater: A Musical (Segal Centre / National Arts Centre), Louise Pitre and Joe Matheson’s The Times They Are a Changin’, Oran Eldor’s North American premiere of Mythic (Segal Centre), and A Christmas Fury (CBC Television). Jason is pleased to be returning to Come From Away in Gander for 2025, and thanks his partner, Sophie, and his son, Clovis, for their gracious and unwavering support.
